Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council (BDBC) resolved to grant outline planning permission in 2020 for our proposals to deliver high quality new homes and community infrastructure on Land at Basingstoke Golf Course.   Outline planning permission was granted on 25th March 2021 (planning application ref.19/00971/OUT).

Since the outline application was approved, Bloor Homes and the project team have continued to work closely with key Officers and stakeholders.

Bloor Homes are fully committed to delivering this key housing and infrastructure project, in addition to continuing to work with the Council and community as the detailed site proposals progress.

The Reserved Matters Planning Application 

We are pleased to confirm the first Reserved Matters planning application has now been submitted to BDBC.

This application forms the first part of residential development being delivered by Bloor Homes and relates specifically to the appearance, landscaping, layout, and scale of development, in line with the original outline planning permission.

The application will deliver the following.

• 227 new homes including 91 affordable homes to ensure a range of property tenures, types, and sizes, ranging from 1 to 4-bedroom homes, in line with local housing requirements.

• Provision of over 7 hectares of publicly accessible open space and enhanced green infrastructure including a kickabout area and woodland walking route.

• New and improved connections across the whole development site and into the wider area including a pedestrian connection to Beggarwood.

As part of the S106 requirements, Bloor Homes will contribute £8.5 million towards highway improvements along the A30 corridor, to help deliver sustainable transport infrastructure.  Bloor will also be contributing directly to the new primary school at Hounsome Fields and wider infrastructure via Community Infrastructure Levy payments which will be phased alongside the delivery of homes.
